Showalter Roofing Service, Inc. is looking for a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager to serve the business and people strategy of this growing company.
JOB DUTIES:
- Administers salary program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization. Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan. Establishes grade levels and salary structure.
- Writes directives advising department managers of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
- Ensures that Company policies comply with federal and state employment law.
- Develops and maintains a Human Resources system that meets management needs.
- Administers employee performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the Company.
- Ensures all job descriptions are current, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, state and local laws.
- Ensures Company has met all standards and follows federal regulations for I-9 verification.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Administers the background check program for the Company and ensures that all employees meet liability insurance regulations.
- Plans and monitors new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.
- Maintains records of insurance and benefits, as well as personnel information such as hires, promotions, salary increases, job assignments, and statistics for government reporting.
- Seeks opportunities for employee development to ensure training and knowledge, as well as advancement opportunities.
- Coordinates management participation in interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.
- Works with management to improve employee job satisfaction and retention. Directs and assists management in succession planning.
- Communicates and directs management of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, non-discrimination, compensation and employee relations.
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. Files all workers comp reports and acts as a liaison between the insurance company, the employee and the medical provider(s).
- Manages insurance broker to maximize and implement employee benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Exceptional skills in organization, multitasking, communication and negotiation, conflict management and problem solving.
- 5+ years’ experience managing an HR Department.
- Applicable 4-year college degree.
- SHRM is a plus.
- Bi-lingual ability to speak in Spanish and English is a plus.
